Water Heater Damage
This customer had many bathrooms in their home and this one was the least used. When the stopped getting hot water in this bathroom during a holiday party they were prompted to look further into the matter. It turns out the water heater was leaking for a while and the mold growth was extensive in the water heater closet from top to bottom, behind the cabinet and into the next room. Since mold can be very dangerous to the health of the occupants, we thoroughly marked out all affected areas and had to remove all drywall, insulation, cabinets, tile flooring and hardwood flooring. Once the materials were removed, we proceeded to dry out the structure. Once the structure was dried out, we proceeded to sand down the studs and clean the entire structure. Once the final mold clearance the homeowner was relieved to have the problem resolved.
